Are your operations FAA compliant?

Yes. All Denver Aero flight operations are conducted by FAA Part 107 certificated remote pilots.

What is your insurance coverage?

Standard coverage is $1M per occurrence, with options up to $5M.

What level of mapping accuracy do you provide?

Centimeter-level accuracy via on-board RTK hardware and optional physical GCPs when required.

What file formats are available for delivery?

We deliver high-quality, industry-standard files tailored to your specific project needs. Here is a breakdown of what you will receive based on your project requirements and specifications:

  • 2D Mapping & Orthomosaics (Site planning, agriculture, and geographic analysis):

    • GeoTIFF / TIFF: High-resolution, georeferenced aerial maps for GIS software.
    • KML / KMZ: Easily viewable map overlays for Google Earth.
  • 3D Mapping, Modeling & CAD (Construction tracking, engineering, and digital twins):

    • .LAS / .LAZ: High-density point clouds for elevation data and topographic analysis.
    • .OBJ / .FBX: Textured 3D mesh models for rendering and architectural software.
    • .DXF / .DWG: Vector linework and contours ready for AutoCAD and civil engineering workflows.
  • Commercial Real Estate & Retail Media (Marketing, advertising, and property listings):

    • MP4 / MOV: Fully edited, high-definition (4K) promotional videos.
    • JPEG / RAW: Professional, color-corrected photographs and panoramic views.
What are the weather limitations for flight?

We do not conduct flight operations in sustained winds exceeding 20mph or during active precipitation. The remote Pilot in Command (rPIC) has the final authority to determine safe conditions for flight.

Do you handle airspace authorizations and waivers?

Yes. We manage LAANC and FAA 107.41 waivers (30-90 day lead time).

Are there areas where drones are prohibited from flying?

Yes. National Parks, most Colorado State Parks, and specific municipalities like Boulder OSMP.

What is your standard service area?

Based in Denver, we primarily serve the Colorado Front Range. Travel to other regions is available upon request for larger projects.

What are your typical turnaround times?

Media assets are usually delivered within 48 hours of the flight. Mapping and inspection deliverables are typically completed within 3–5 business days, depending on the project scope and complexity.

How do you handle privacy and data security?

Privacy by Design framework. Imagery is limited to project scope; data purged after 30 days.
